ABOUT: I am a strong and reliable defender who works hard to disrupt scoring chances through my defensive positioning, angling and physicality. A key focus for me is being poised with the puck and using my body, stickhandling and deception skills to maintain puck possession. I consistently have my head up and help our team make speedy transitions to offence with quick and accurate breakout passes. My strong hockey IQ and vision helps me to make good decisions and effectively execute plays. I jump into the offense when there is an opportunity and find shooting and passing lanes well to set up my forwards for scoring chances. I pride myself in being a team first player who is very coachable, supports and communicates well with my teammates and coaches, and brings a positive energy and attitude to both games and practices. I have a strong work ethic, both on and off the ice, and I am always striving to improve.
