Leaside U22 Elite Women's Hockey Team Celebrates Graduating Seniors and a Bright Future Ahead
The Leaside U22 Elite Women's Hockey Team gathered for a night of pride, celebration, and heartfelt goodbyes as they honored their graduating senior players. The ceremony marked the culmination of years of dedication and hard work, with 11 exceptional athletes preparing to take their next steps in their hockey careers
Of these remarkable players, eight (and counting) will continue to pursue their passion at the university level next year, joining top-tier programs across the United States and Canada. This outstanding achievement is a testament not only to their immense talent and perseverance but also to the unwavering support from families, coaches, teammates, and the entire Leaside community.
Following the ceremony, families, friends, and teammates came together for a final celebration at the Amsterdam Barrel House—an integral supporter of the team throughout the year. As the team’s most worthy sponsor, the Amsterdam Barrel House has consistently shown its commitment to the Wildcats community by offering a 10% food discount for all Wildcats families. The festive atmosphere was filled with laughter, stories, and tributes to the graduating seniors, honoring their legacy as leaders and role models.
Said one coach who shared heartfelt words, saying, "These young women have shown incredible dedication, both on and off the ice. Their hard work and leadership have set a standard of excellence that will inspire future Wildcats for years to come. We couldn’t be prouder of them, and we are excited to see all that they will accomplish in their future endeavors."
The night was a fitting send-off for an extraordinary group of athletes who have left an indelible mark on the Leaside hockey community.
